It makes young hair soft, shiny and full of life. Packed with natural oils and awesome Aussie botanical extracts, it gently cleanses without stripping away essential moisture.
Naturally derived fragrance with a clean, subtle scent featuring notes of sweet orange, ylang ylang, rose, jasmine and amyris.

How to use
Apply to wet hair, gently lather then rinse thoroughly. Follow up with Cacatu Nourishing Conditioner for the best hair ever
Product ingredients
Purified Water – The clean, hydrating base of our formula. It helps distribute all the nourishing ingredients evenly through your child’s hair.
Sodium C14-16 Olefin Sulfonate – A kid-safe cleanser derived from natural oils that gently removes dirt and build-up without stripping natural moisture.
Cocamidopropyl Betaine – A coconut-derived surfactant that boosts foam for a fun, bubbly wash, while remaining soft and non-irritating for delicate scalps.
Decyl Glucoside & Lauryl Glucoside – Plant-based cleansers that are ultra-gentle, biodegradable, and perfect for sensitive skin.
Glycerin - A natural humectant that works like a hydration magnet, drawing water
into each strand to keep hair soft, smooth, and nourished.
Aloe Barbadensis Leaf (Aloe Vera) - Known for its soothing properties, aloe helps calm the scalp while adding lightweight hydration.
Argania Spinosa Kernel (Argan Oil) - Rich in vitamin E and fatty acids, argan oil smooths frizz, softens hair, and adds shine without heaviness.
Cocos Nucifera (Coconut Oil) - Helps to protect and strengthen hair while leaving it silky and manageable.
Macadamia Seed Oil - A lightweight, Australian native oil that nourishes, restores moisture, and reduces frizz.
Australian Botanical Extracts – A powerful blend of:
- Davidson Plum – Rich in vitamin C and antioxidants for healthy, shiny hair.
- Hibiscus Flower – Naturally smooths and adds gloss to hair strands.

I have always found it so hard to find a shampoo and conditioner for my daughter’s tangly hair. I have often resorted to using my shampoo, but always been cautious as there are so many ingredients that I worry about for little skin and hair.
For years I have said someone needs to create a child friendly shampoo and conditioner that is kind for little humans and actually works
And Cacatu is EXACTLY what I was after! My daughter’s hair has never felt better and without the worry and stress of anything nasty being in what we are using! I am in love!
As a mum of five children, all with vastly different hair types ranging from dead straight to very curly, finding one shampoo that works for everyone has always been a challenge – until now. This is the first time I’ve changed my daughter’s hair care products since she was a baby. Now that she’s just turned 6, I’m so glad we decided to try Cacatu!
